Since 2015 · Rural Bengal Tourism & Northeast India
Where the map runs out, your journey begins
Rural Dreams runs deep in Bankura, Purulia and Jhargram. Mantraa Escapes opens the door to Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Both are built the same way — slow, local, honest, and led by people who actually live there.
Who we are
Two roads.
Both real.
We didn't start Rural Dreams to sell trips. We started it because the villages of Jungle Mahal — the terracotta towns, the Santal hamlets, the sal forests that turn copper in March — deserved better than a footnote in someone else's Bengal itinerary. Ten years later, we still send small groups, still work with the same guides we started with, and still turn down bookings that don't fit the place.
Mantraa Escapes was born from the same instinct, aimed further east. Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh don't need to be packaged — they need to be understood. So our Northeast trips are built by people who've spent years in these hills, not assembled from a brochure template.
Wherever you start — a weekend in Purulia or two weeks across the Northeast — you're getting the same thing: a small operator who picks up the phone, a guide who isn't reading from a script, and a trip that was actually designed for you.
